Alright, so I searched the forum and couldn't find any info so here's what I am going to attempt to do when my parts come in. I always like to see what PSI the oil pressure is, and I won't run a mechanical gauge into the dash - if the line blows out, what a mess!
I found this site that has the GM oil pressure switch GENERAL MOTORS - 96802844 | Spareto which has the stats of M10 x 1.0 threads and .55 bar when the light comes on (fyi, M10 x 1.0 is the same as a VW). This would mean that the light comes on at 8 PSI (which is totally useless, hence the reason for a gauge). My plan is to remove the factory switch and replace it with an aftermarket but keep the dummy light on the dash active.
I have assumed that it is M10 and ordered a VDO 360-023 which is a 0-150 sender and 7 psi warning - if you don't care about the warning light, you can just get a sender. I am going to hook it up to the VDO 350-041 oil pressure gauge and put it in a ZZ pod alongside a VDO 150-921 boost gauge. I'm not a big fan of the looks of the gauges, but I didn't search a lot for a M10 sender/warning switch and corresponding gauges - plus the VDO gauges aren't super expensive, doing these 2 gauges and pod will cost me $200 total.
Wish me luck and I'll post up if it's really M10 x 1 or if there is another adapter needed.
