Just wanted to voice what has happened with my 2013 LT Turbo since right around 36K miles... I'm at 38.7... This is a book so I'm apologizing ahead...
First, for some time we had noticed the signature "act like its gonna die at a stop while in gear and sometimes while idling in park". After experiencing this intermittently over a few months (didn't happen every time you got in the car) the check engine light popped on. My understanding of the light means something to do with emissions. When I took it in, they ended up replacing the valve cover due to vacuum leak. They also updated software and when I got it back it was like driving a brand new car. A week goes by, and it seems to start having the same issues, and again the check engine light. So, back to the dealership. This time they said the cat. was clogged, and they put a new one on. I'm back at the dealer, two weeks later, with the same issues of check engine light and wanting to die sometimes.
Here are some other things to note:
Water pump was replaced due to leaking noticed by no heat around 20k. I also noticed at my last oil change there is a small leak around the oil pan on the passenger side. I also brought it in around 35k for noisy engine and they said I was a quart and a half low on oil; how in hell did I burn a quart and a half in 5000 miles (I was due for a change at that time-I assumed the oil life feature was proper but now I'll be changing it more frequently). I also noticed after I got it back the last time when I was opening the hood to listen to my extremely loud injectors (tick tick tick tick!!!) that my antifreeze was low.
I've noticed that many have had to have a pcv valve replaced which seems to cure the wanting to die issue, but the dealer doesn't want to hear me say to look at it, maybe because I'm a girl and because I read it on a forum. But seriously 3 times in the dealer in a month and a half's time I'm just about over how much I had loved this little car!!!
Anyways just a post for enthusiasts. I haven't wanted to work on this car because warranty, and I have my 1989 tool around car anyways, but goodness. Do I just sit back and wait?
