So I got my car (2012 LTZ 1.4 6M) about a month ago and tonight I installed a trifecta tune on it. I also put my Ultra Gauge classic in it to check boost levels. Since it is the classic model it doesn't read boost but rather Intake Manifold Absolute Pressure which once you reach past 14.7psi then your in boost. Now I use this in my other car which is a Mini Cooper S and it was actually very accurate. However tonight when I installed it after the Trifecta tune its showing im only boosting max of 14.5psi over absolute pressure which leads me to believe there is something wrong since I see everyone here boosting 19-22psi on the same tune. now I put the car back to stock and its showing im boosting about 10psi ... does this even sound right???:sadbanana:
So what could be the issue? What should I look for? also I do have a rattle coming from the passenger side engine bay when I reverse or take off from a stop. I had thought maybe this was what a failing idler pulley or possible the alternator bearings as it has a similar sound but could this be related to my boost issue? could it also be the Ultra Gauge is reading it wrong?
