I'm on my third tank of gas on my 2017 Sonic. Without going into too much detail it was a pretty skeevy purchase that I'm very ambivalent about. I'm trying VERY hard to restrain myself from upgrades until I've put a few miles on the car and taken it to my mechanic. So far I only installed the HPFab CAI and have the BNR tune (waiting for base tune). Ya know, being super patient and making sure the car isn't a lemon before spending money on it
The skeevyness is that I got an 8 month old premier sedan with 44k miles and accident repair for under $11,000 (sold as new 8mo ago, Literally 12mo old from manuf date). Who puts 44k miles on a car in 8 months you ask? RENTAL. So I saw the clues that it was a potential money pit, don't really care about cosmetic stuff and still bought it (there's new paint here and there, no floormats, grubby headliner, everything is covered in armorall and "new car smell" etc a rehabbed accident/rental that was dumped at auction due to accident not mechanical issues).
I got greedy for heated seats and steering wheel, compromised that I REALLY wanted the HB, and here we are. I tend to drive my cars until they rust to death so any money I spend on it now will be worth it over the life of the car, within reason. I've never had anything even close to this new of a car before. My last car was 2005 GTI but my budget just can't do that again. Before that was '98 Ford Contour Sport, before that was 87 Honda Accord LXi hatchback... I have a newish minivan so I can go back to having a smallish commuter car 35mi/day and want good mpg.
I found a few threads with people mentioning spark plug boots Autolite 50046-1 or Carquest 35-7007 as being available. I'm about to drive over to get one or two from local place. But I thought I'd mention this. Those plug boots are very common on Fords evidently and you can get 8 of them off ebay for $27 shipped.
