Hi,
I have a 2012 1.8l Sonic Hatchback with 46,000 miles. My wife was driving the car Saturday and said it "sputtered" but recovered at a stop sign. She made it to where she was going with no problem. She went to leave and the car started but died within a few seconds.
I have found that the injector fuse was blown. I replaced it and that one blew as soon as I turned the key on. So far I have eliminated the injectors by unhooking them 1 by 1 and then I unhooked the harness that goes to them. The fuse still blows. I have went through about 10 fuses so far. I then started looking for any bare or frayed wires in the harness and have found none. I also checked the fuse terminals to ground and have found that one side has continuity to the battery ground. I am not sure where to go from here. I don't thing that it should be grounded all the time but I do not have a wiring diagram to look at. If I unhook the connectors from the ECM the ground goes away. I am thinking it is either the Engine harness or the ECM.
Has anyone else had this problem? If so what was it? Or is there something else I need to check? I believe my warranty expired already so I am on my own on this one.
