also a dinner prick
Been a while and figured I would pop in with my current "project".
I will be parting ways with my 2017 Sonic to free up funds for other far more important life goals/changes. I figured it was time to tinker with the 2012 again. Since my lowered suspension is leaving with the 2017 and I already ran the 2012 on lowered suspension before, I decided to go the other way.
This has been in discussion with several other long time forum members and we decided to see if its possible. I scored some parts that I will reveal once I am satisfied with the result and its expected long term success. So far it looks to be about a 1" lift based off of some crude measurements and not being able to really let the car settle. I should be able to stuff up to a 27.5" tire under the car as well. Currently the front tires are a 26.3" and about as tall as I was willing to go when I had stock Sonic struts. I still need to change the rear suspension, but it has not arrived yet. If all goes well this should be a decent option for those sick individuals that want to go higher.
