I wanted an unswitched 12v source for leaving stuff to charge when I'm away from the car. I thought about running a line to the one near the e-brake with a switch so I could choose when it was on/off.... but I really don't want to leave stuff plugged in and visible (or in the sun for that matter)
Decided the glove box was a good spot. Plenty of storage + out of sight. Picked up a very basic 2 plug "lighter port" that could handle 15 amps.
Ran the unswitched 12v (with a 15a inline fuse) over from the fuse panel and ground from a dash bolt, decided quick connects would make glove box removal easier down the road.
Placed it on the driver side for easier access from the captain's chair
Now ready for all 12v charging duties, even tossed the ac adapter in there just in case.
Next up, 4a usb multi plug so I can charge phone + tablet + digital camera battery simultaneously [emoji594]
