This may not be for everyone, but if you have access to a lathe and mill its an easy, cheap mod.
Obviously the stock lower mount has plenty of give in it, which i despised when shifting.
This stock rubber is cast into the aluminum. Cut as much as you can out with a utility knife.
Wire wheel to remove the rest of the rubber (within reason).
Stuck the aluminum mount in the mill and bored it so it was round and sides were square. (Sorry no picture)
Having made all my mounts for my Ion Redline, i picked up a IRL or Cobalt SS control arm bushing and machined a reducer to press into the stock aluminum mount and receive the new bushing. I like these bushings cause they limit movement but arent as stiff as poly.
Only other item necessary was a 0.20" thick spacer to duplicate the height of the stock mount.
I'll get an installed picture, but you can imagine its basically the same from below.
Little vibration when leaving from a stop, and i've found a rattle behind the hatch plastic, but i love the feeling between shifts now.
Total cost including aluminum was about 30$.
