Yes, it's yet another Plastidip DIY. This time, how to dip your fuel cap door. This one is easy, and I'll walk you through it in just a few steps.
Much like other parts of the car, this one is incredibly easy to paint when it's off the vehicle. To remove the cover, pull up slightly on the clip that's preventing it from sliding, and pull the cover along the door's rail to release it. You can see how the clips line up in the pic below for reattaching it.
Lay down some newspaper and place the cover so it's backside is up. You'll want to paint the backside first and then flip it afterwards to do the front. Apply about 3 layers, allowing about 10 minutes to dry between layers. Then let it rest for about an hour to finish drying.
Reattach the cover as shown in the pic, aligning the cover so that it snaps back into place. Viola!
