So I recently bought my 2015 Sonic RS 3/31/16 it was advertised as a new car (89 miles) and sold to me as a new car by the Chevy dealer. I found out after I bought the car from the service department that my car was a show car. It was not disclosed during the sale by the salesman, sales manager or anywhere on the paperwork. Why this is important is because Chevy corporate has decided "show cars" warranties start at the year model so the car I bought in March of 2016 as a new car Chevy is saying the Warranty started January 2015. This is in my opinion fraudulent, when you buy a new car the warranty starts from day of purchase or it is not a new car and needs to be disclosed as such. This affects the value and the price you should pay. If you have any strange dates or wrong dates in the Chevy system regarding your warranty you need to check this as it is not common knowledge and something stupid Chevy is doing to their customers and as it is not disclosed at purchase you do not have to put up with it.
