I couldnt find a temp gauge on my dash. I clicked through what I believe to be all the features and I didnt see one. Did I miss it?
No extras for am entry level vehicle. It would do us a lot of good out here in the desert!Stupid horsepoop decision by Chevrolet. Back in the day, gauges cost extra because you needed a gauge and a different sender. These days, the ECU know the engine temperature and there are plenty of displays on the dash that could show it, but Chevrolet chose not to.
Lame.
Yup, sonic dsnt have any temp gauge,
try a OBDII gauge like Ultragauge (the best in town tbh) here https://goo.gl/MRbPJ7
or the old way by adding a tach on the dash, the best way is here :

It's because the Sonic runs hotter than a normal car.
Most vehicles operate between 180-200, sonic is around 220. People would freak out and think something was wrong, it's just to keep dumb people away.

The system is pressurized to 15psi so the boiling point is usually above 260 at minimum.
The reason for no gauge is the electronic thermostat, the engine can run 190 or 220, depending on conditions. If you had the gauge constantly moving around it would cause more hassle than it's worth, so either you put a fake gauge like older BMWs, or just eliminate it all together and add a warning light.
What app is that you're using?
