My 2013 Sonic LT has 10K miles on it. Over the last 1k or so it has developed a singular "knock" when the vehicle is in reverse going up an incline while turning either to the left or right. The knock sounds as though it comes from the front suspension and is accompanied by a mild tactile "bump" in the cabin. I took the vehicle to a dealership today to get it checked out and was told that while the techs were able to reproduce the issue multiple times they were unable to find anything wrong with the vehicle's suspension. In the end they decided the cause of the knock and tactile bump were a result of body flex.
Has anyone had this particular issue with their sonic. Is it possible that this knocking issue has something to do with the anti-sway bar end links that I know have had issues with premature failure? Should I take it to another dealership and have it checked out?
Either way, I made sure the techs notated that they were able to replicate the issue in the notes (they had coded "Issue not able to replicated" despite telling me they had replicated it).
Thanks in advance!
Edit: Searched for knocking didn't come up with anything, guess I should have browsed down and I would have seen this thread prior to posting...
