Exclamation 2013 Sonic WET FLOOR issue

We love our Chevy Sonic , purchased it last December.
This past Wednesday, 6/12/14, we had picked up our kids for dinner.
Our son had told us that the passenger side floor was very wet. I felt it and it indeed was/is.
On further investigation it seems,ONLY the passenger side flooring is wet. Front and back, the front passenger flooring being less wet than the back.
We plan to take the car in at the dealership....Any thoughts?
Has this happened to anyone else?

Water leak on driver's side carpet & rear seat when rains. Windshield drain problem?

I just searched the forum for "wet floor".....

Any sweet smell like coolant? Does the car have a sunroof?

Havent seen too many water leaks but I have seen other new cars not have a sunroof drain tube hooked up from assembly and you dont know it till a heavy rain/first car wash. Either way if its under 3/36 warranty just let the dealer deal with it.

I looked that PI up and I guess water comes in through the HVAC fresh air inlet vent. Nice find, sounds like thats probably the issue since you dont have a sunroof.

Hello again everyone, I brought my Sonic into the Dealership's service station to address the water issue.
(the same great dealership we bought our Sonic from)
I had brought with me, all the information I had learned from all of you members (thanks) including the 'Bulletin PI0826' reference.
Last Saturday morning after going through the threads here associated to this problem, I had also examined my Sonic's glove box 'undercarriage' and ,yes, it was wet. Saturday had been a a rainy day as well.
I was given a loaner car at no cost...The manager had called me recently to say that it WAS confirmed to be associated to the 'Bulletin PI0826' ..He said that it should be all taken care of by tomorrow afternoon,,,whew THANK YOU GUYS and
THANK YOU Marlea Wilson~ Chevrolet Customer Service for calling into the dealership to assist.
Ill be updating you all tomorrow

Hello everyone once again,
I picked up my Sonic at 6pm CST today.
The manager was very gracious and explained again that the problem was verified to be what we thought.
He thanked me for bringing in all of the printout information that I collected from HERE. Especially of the 'BULLETIN #PI0826' information . He said that It made the mechanics workday a lot easier and and quicker too .
They sealed up what needed to be sealed and replaced the padding underneath the passenger carpeting. Mold would have started to form underneath if not taken care of properly! Great guys at a great Chevy dealership/service station.
"Sunrise Chevrolet' in Glendale Heights, Illinois. Thanks too to Marlea and Jackie !
