This sounds very familiar, did you search the site?
a/c drain is plugged. Don't know the exact location on our cars, but somewhere low on the firewall, passenger side there should be a small rubber elbow. That's the drain.
That doesn't explain why the "A/C not working".
The drain can be completely plugged and the A/C will keep chugging away.
What kind of puddle is it, just water? Did it rain recently? My car used to leak there if it downpoured and was parked with the passenger side slightly uphill from the drivers side, very slight.
