Hey everybody. Name is Stephanie I live in the Houghton Lake, MI area and I just bought a 2012 Chevy Sonic LT on 05-16-17. New to the whole mods thing so any tips would help such as engine upgrades, turbo upgrades, etc.

Thanks. I wanna do mods on it but no idea where to start. Gonna change out the drum brakes on the back. That's about it lol

If you wanna go fast check out Bad News Racing, ZZPerformance, and MPFab.

Those are the parts I have on my car. They're all quality stuff.

How many miles are on the car? Might wanna watch out for the PCV failing around 45k along with the turbo and intake manifold. If you're past that mileage then you're probably fine. If not, there's a video on replacing the valve cover (PCV built in) and the intake manifold is a breeze to replace. The turbo though I haven't done myself. Those are the three things that failed on my car around 45k. I was still under warranty so the dealer did it for me, but I think at this point you're probably out of warranty. I know the PCV is common, not too sure about the turbo. Just change your oil way sooner than GM says to and the turbo should be just fine.

Start with the simplicities.
-Lowering Springs (Or coilovers if you have the money)
-Exhaust
-Tune (I did this first, personally I recommend BnR's tune)
-headlights fog lights, taillights

Then from there just build a list and attack it in order of importance and affordability

I was thinking the lowering springs but idk what the best ones are. My fiancé has a 02 subaru impreza wrx so its kinda where I get my inspiration from

Well personally I'm going over to cx racing coilovers when the money's there (the Millitary doesnt pay me enough for the **** I deal with on a daily basis lol) but I'm gonna drop in some ZZP lowering springs which are about an inch and a quarter drop (fairly modest) they're the cheapest option I've found so far, especially since they won't be in very long.

Airforce. Aircraft Maintenance. Long hours, crappy conditions no appreciation, standard stuff. But yea I'm this game the main part sites that will be your best friends are

They have everything from shifter bushings to turbo upgrades
