Picked up a 2013 RS a few months ago. My fiancée needed something reliable while I was in California. I found the car and set up the deal over the phone, and she picked it up. It has been a good addition to the lot. It's the little brother to my Cobalt SS turbo.
I am trying to figure out the history of it. I know its been modified, if lightly at that. The bpv solenoid has been bypassed and the car accelerates abruptly in 4th, 5th, and 6th gear. Owning a Cruze before, I know that this isn't how the car should run. Throttle is very touchy in those gears too. Initial start up, engine misses quite a bit then becomes smooth. Compression check shows 235, 225, 220, 220 so within 7% across the board.
But does anyone know what compression should be? Browsing back through cruzetalk, I found talk of 175-203psi but I haven't been able to find a definitive answer to compression. To me, I think our Sonic might be modified internally. If no response to my welcome thread, might have to make a dedicated thread.
