Lead Foot
A 1993 Thunderbird V8
I'd bought her from a place in Washington State, near Seattle on 12-13-16, it was a bear to get her here... about 1900 miles. But she's here now!
She arrived FILTHY beyond any car I've ever had! There's a bunch of sand on the underside I need to spray off. I think it's from the snowy journey the car had on the back of that trailer!
But I put some serious effort into her, and I'm getting her up to my standards. She's already a good platform to work with, only 82K, no wrecks or other issues, driven by an older couple, good service history.
These were taken at my mom's house....
Still need to install the new stereo, waiting on some parts to fix stuff and I need a car cover... OH and I need to register it and get her personalized plates "N8S-BRD"...
The work continues:
**New rear shocks (some dummy put the rubber grommet on the driver's side in upside down!)
**New stereo
**Dash cover
**New tires
**New horns
She still needs a new windshield or windshield polish, the remaining glass polished, and better floormats!
Then she's ready to roll!!
Painted the wiper arms and B-pillar black parts
Black bumper paint works the best
Then I did the B-Pillars... Probably shouldn't have done outside, there was some overspray but I got it off...even light winds will carry paint!
Scruff it up to make the paint adhere better.
Tape her off
Driver's side was a little easier, I could open the door all the way...
Once done, I ran some errands, click the picture to make it larger
The 1st thing I did when I got the car delivered was redo the plenum plaque to make it shine, it was all pitted and the black paint was coming off
She's getting close to being done, need new or polished windshield, I've got custom floor mats coming, and I need to swap the passenger power seat motors around again....and then remove the water stains on the rest of the glass....
Lots of work, but I love it!!!
Thanks for looking!
