Aftermarket floor mats that actually fit?

Here is what I used to cover the dead pedal surface. This has been on mine about 5 years and is still in perfect condition. I use WeatherTech floor liners in Winter, and the stock carpet mats during the Summer months in conjunction with the 3-M pad. Click link below...

His & Hers Sonic's; no more

For almost six years the wife and I have had matching Inferno Orange LTZ Sonic's: Hers a 1.8 auto sedan, mine a 1.4 manual hatch. Last week my wife traded her Sonic for a 2017 Malibu LT. We had discussed getting new Sonic's at some point, but the incentives and discounts are on in stock...

I didn't know cruise control did this!

I'm not sure if everyone knows, or has tried this: The cruise control, at least the one on my 1.4 manual transmission LTZ hatch, will engage in every gear but first gear, at 24 mph. I always expected that it would engage in 5th, or 6th gear; but all gears except first gear I didn't expect.

pwven, I noticed in your photos that there is a plug in the rear bumper facia for a recovery tow hook. Is there one in the front too, and is the threaded eye/hook included with the vehicle? Papasonic: Cambridge IL - USA

    Aluminum Dead Pedal (Foot rest)

Nice job! I originally had planned to do the aluminum plate type footrest too; but attaching it to the existing carpet, and corrosion issues from salt residue from our midwestern winter conditions made me revise my plans. That is why I only used the tread material bonded to the carpet. I like...

Consequences of topping off fuel tank.

I am guilty of attempting to pack a little more fuel into my Sonics fuel tank when filling up; now there is another good reason not to do this. Link: Fuel Gauge Inoperative Papasonic

    Exhaust Tip fit questions

Not necessarily. The cutout in the sedan valance for the exhaust outlet is much smaller in radius than on the hatchback. I put a simple stainless steel turndown tip on our 1.8 sedan that just fit over the tailpipe. Anything much larger than the existing tailpipe diameter would rub/melt the...

    Coil Pack Failure 1.4

Had to have my LTZ turbo 1.4 towed to the dealer yesterday. I went to start it up in the garage, and it wasn't running on all cylinders; the check engine light came on, then started flashing. A call to Onstar verified the misfire, and suggested not driving the vehicle to prevent damage to the...
