I have only seen a few sonics in Kentucky. If you are on this forum and live in Kentucky post where in Kentucky.I am also wondering what kind of gas mileage you are getting while driving in Kentucky.I have the 1.4 auto uk blue with 1200 miles and the dash says 32.7mpg this is with 93 octane.I ran 87 octane the 1st 900 miles and the dash was saying 31.5mgp.Will do the calculated on my next fillup. I'm southeastern ky guy. Small town of whitesburg. I got a 1.8 5 speed hatch silver and I drive a hundred miles a day in it. I already got 5k on it and see an average mpg of 33-34 on regular unleaded up and down these mountains.

Default ky mpg

I drove 451 miles today 30 miles city 421 miles highway and run 93 octane and dash reading was 41.5 mpg. i also inflated my tires to 40 psi. My calulated on the tank before this trip was 31.2mpg the dash said 32.5mpg.i did give one more shot of gas after pump kicked off so that is most likely the difference.I am happy with this mpg i traded in my 09 malibu for this sonic.1710miles now. changing the oil and filter tomorrow.

Checking in from Louisville. I typically get ~36 actual mpg (~38 DIC) on my daily commute of 24 miles 75/25 hwy /city. Personal best of 51.9 driving on I-64 @60mph from Louisville to Huntington, WV. Speed, of course, is the biggest factor in hwy mpg.

1.4T/6MT/93 Octane/Trifecta Tune

Pretty late to chime in but I'm just now seeing this post.

I live in Lexington. Traffic is always terrible as you all probably know. Hit one red light, you hit them all. Anyway, I drive a 1.8 auto, stock aside from a k&n drop-in and ultragauge. I average about 26 mpg since I've started keeping track. That doesn't include a trip to Chicago that I know I was easily nearing 35+ mpg or when I was crushing the gas pedal when I first bought it. I agree about highway speed. Keep it below 65 and you're golden. Anything more and it won't reach EPA estimates. Enjoy driving this car. Looking forward to modding it when I get the chance.
