15" wiper blade problem!

Ok where the flock do I find 15" wiper blades for the Sonic?
We take a 26 & 15 in wiper. I have yet to find a place I can purchase 15" frameless wiper blades!

Anyone ever hear of the veleo (sp) wiper blades? I found those on amazon but nothing else.
My blades are starting to streak and need to replace them.

If you have a Pepboys near you, you will find some. Our Proline all season blades come in a 15", and the Anco Profiles do as well, but I don't recall if we stock that one. Both must be adapted to fit our cars, adapters included.

The Proline are the same as the Autotex's Scirocco TDI linked to, and I believe they are made by Valeo.

Cool, thanks for the info wasteoffilm. Incidentally, Valeo has been around a LONG time, I am mainly familiar with them as a manufacturer of high quality OE replacement heater cores and radiators for my VWs.

I am a big fan of the Goodyear Assurance blades. They work well and as a bonus are made in the US. I found them pretty cheap at Costco but they can be found online at places like Amazon. Looks like it comes in the sizes needed for the Sonic too.

Alan, unfortuantely they do not come with the pinch type adapter. I spent 2 hours going to different auto parts stores (no pepboys near me) only to find that the Trico Force Flex was the only one with the pinch type connector for our blades. Unfortunately my Terrain also has a funky connector (big square thing with a push button) and Trico was the only one I could find with an adapter that woudl fit that and was the correct size. PITA!!!!

So they will be in on thursday I will let you know.

Costco has Goodyear wiper blades for 8 bucks. When they go on sale they are 8 bucks for 2!

I bought RainX Latitudes from Advance Auto down in Texas a few weeks back, and they seemed to fit fine. I hadn't had the opportunity to actually drive any distance in wet weather since, and just forgot all about them. Yesterday, though, did a substantial amount of driving in the rain, and found out my passenger arm was too long. Yeah, only a half inch or so, just long enough that it taps the side of the window, and that the two arms brush past each other on the swing up.

Checked my local Advance, the first guy looked them up on the computer and found LOTS of different arms, pretty much everyone agreed on the 26 inch drivers side, but I saw anything from 18 down to 16, even 15 listed for the passenger side. Then a guy came out of the back and the first guy conferred with him... and he said "no, man, we don't carry anything that is the right size for the passenger side, I had to go to the dealer for that"... the parts car for the store is a white Sonic HB, so I imagine he looked good and hard before deciding they really don't have a part that works.

When I saw the wiper blades were in metric (65.0 cm /38.0 cm) in the owner's manual, I figured sourcing an exact match would be a problem. I don't know about you guys, but I haven't ever seen a 25.6 inch wiper blade in stock anywhere...

When I need them, I'm just going to fork over the $50-something bucks at the dealer's parts counter for a fricken set of wiper blades that hopefully will properly fit. Until then, I'll be trying to get the most life I can out of these suckers.

FWIW, the type of connector we have is called an "Insert and Lock" or "I&L". I've had a pretty hard time finding blades with this type of connector, but there are a few Anco and Valeo ones that do. Also, PIAA provides adapters with most of their blades, but they only seem to carry the 26". Still haven't found any other 15" blades besides the Valeo/Anco ones on Amazon.

Napa has the blades for the sonic

Installed them for free, and they were decent replacement blades.

I'm pretty sure I saw a post where somone found out the stock blades are made by Bosch

On all my previous cars I had Bosch wiper blades. I haven't seen if they have them available for the sonic yet.

Dealer replaced mine under warranty at 3000 miles said they were dry rotted got 6100 on her now and seem to be going good

Do you clean them off when you wash the car?
Take your sponge/mitt and wipe off the blade, getting the dirt and oils off of them helps quite a bit to preserve them.

I'm at 2 years and 4 months (13,500 miles) on the stock wipers, doing fine.
