2-Step for the Sonic?

I've been really wanting to get 2-Step on my sonic and I've seen that there is something called a WOT Box, but I haven't seen anyone do this with a Sonic. Would this install work out? Any advice you have would be great!

Technically... Yes... That being said, You would absolutely need to add a lot of items to this. To begin, I know the stock turbo is not ready for this. You would absolutely need a better clutch. You're asking to shred a stock or even a stage 1+ clutch. Possibly a tune to go along with that. I've already asked Trifecta about that and they won't support it because it can damage the vehicle. I'm sure there are limiters within the ECU that keep the car from doing that, meaning you would have to use HP Tuners and/or a shop to tune the car. Either way, I absolutely do not recommend this on a stock or close to stock economy car. you would need some serious upgrades.

Do what you want man, just be safe and research so you you don't break anything and cause bigger headaches.

Trifecta and BNR include options for no lift shift.... However, the transmission is not built for it. And if you don't know how to launch with a manual, then go practice some more.

The problem with no 2 step is you cannt build any boost while launching. The honda tunners do it so does Cobb ect. People have bought them for the sonic but nobody seams to have gotten it to work. Wot box is no help at all ! g

If you just want it to make noise, the WOT box should work just fine. It works by cutting spark to some cylinders so you may get a CEL for misfires, but it should give you the function you want. We used them successfully on Cobalts, which were basically the same management system.

My sonic is auto, but you can usually enable a 2 step via the tune, the settings in HPT look like you could.
