2010 SS Camaro wheel and seats compatible?

So I saw the thead about the ZL1 wheel swap, and it didn't really answer my questions.

I really like the retro style of the 2010 camaro SS wheel, but don't know if it'd be a simple plug n play setup. I'd hate to lose cruise control and radio control if I did a swap. Does anybody know if this is compatible with the Sonic?

Also, would a pair of the camaro SS front bucket seats bolt right up to the Sonic seat mounting rails? Or would they need an adapter?

Anyone with personal experience or who works at a dealership will earn bonus points.

I agree. I don't think that it will be a straight drop in replacement because you will more than likely need to also buy the airbag to go along with the wheel. The shapes are completely different in this case.

What I don't know, is what the bolt locations look like for the seats, the size comparison of the seats (because it is possible that they are too wide to fit) and I don't know what the steering shaft looks like to know if it will receive the wheel.

I don't THINK that the wheel will drop right in, because I know that this steering wheel (STEERING WHEEL | Genuine GM | 22896548) is compatible with the Sonic, but it's not listed as compatible with the 2010 Camaro. Now whether that means the list on that site is incomplete or it truly is not compatible, I don't know, but it leads me to believe that the 2010 Camaro steering wheel is not compatible with the Sonic.

Just my 2 cents... at the end of the day no one has done it to my knowledge, so no one knows.

Yes, the airbags are completely different. My line of logic was that since the new 2014/15 Camaro has an identical steering wheel to the Sonic, maybe the older 2010 Camaro wheel was only different cosmetically and had the exact same plugs as the newer wheel.

Guess my best bet is to see if any Camaro guys have done a wheel swap on their cars.

Of course, it would help if the mods over at camaro5 would activate my forum account so I can ask. Been waiting almost 48 hours for them to give me permission to post.

And it could be. We just don't know at this point. I would see what the Camaro guys are swapping in. If one of them have swapped in the newer ZL1 steering wheel, then it's a good bet that you can swap in the 2010 wheel (since we know the ZL1 is compatible with the sonic).
