2012 Automatic 1.8L Tune Options

I've been reading around quite a bit, and noticed everyone raving about the BNR tune, but it is only listed as 2013+.

The only other option I know of is Trifecta.

I'm not planning any engine mods aside from exhaust and intake, so I'm thinking just trifecta Advantage may be the best option for me.

What is everyone with 1.8's experience with tunes?

I would send Jerry an email at BNR and talk to him, they have several options for tuning as far as software to use. He will get you some impressive numbers while giving you better fuel economy than trifecta ever could.

I sent him an E-mail as well.

A huge thing with me as well is cost, as being in Canada, the exchange rate completely screws me. so what may be an extra $200 to you would be an extra ~$260 CAD to me, plus any duties or fees I may come across.

So that $400 EFLive tune for a 2013+ is now $520 CAD.

I would recommend touching base with Trifecta, as well. If you can swing it, they have an Advantage tune for the 1.8 that they call Stage 1 for a K&N intake. They were selling a K&N intake with the tune, but you may now need to purchase the intake on your own. The tune and intake together will provide an excellent outcome, IMO. I contacted them yesterday too.

All I got was a response saying to read the 1.8 pages. No real direct answer. Advantage for stock engine, but if need support for mods, use Elite. He said nothing about the Advantage supporting and allowing for the intake / exhaust. Which, might I add, is listed right on the Advantage page...

Did you specifically ask for the Advantage tune for the K&N intak? It was once an option.

I got a response from Jerry, and the EFILive has been updated for 2011+ now. So BNR will be my choice tune.
