2013 MyLink Frozen! Locked? HELP PLS!

So it's been 3 days now, i have tried just about everything. I've held down the power button, I've held the volume button and power, etc. I've unpaired my bluetooth from my iPhone, I've tried pairing my bluetooth (by pressing the talk physyical button on steering wheel) I've turned the car on and off, opend the door closed the door. I've disconnected the batter for about 30 minutes and it's still the same. Mylink is frozen on a screen that just shows Chevy and Mylink, it will not animate, the brightness works, when i have the car off but the key on the power/volume/home buttons do make a beeping noise and flash indicating that they are working. The system itself i believe is frozen or locked? I'm not sure if Mylink has a lock feature that i need to enter a special code to unlock it? Anywho, any known fixes to this? Any other way of doing a hard reset to Mylink? I've taken this to my local dealer and they couldn't figure it out (or didnt try as hard?) not sure.


EDIT!!! Got too frustrated not having a radio, paid for a new one. For part and labor cost $500. Installed and worked today.

Mine did that last week. I turned the car off, then on and it reset itself. Keep us posted.

Yes i tried to turn the car on while batt was unplugged, nothing on the car came on, however the car ignition locked my keys and did not allow me to take my keys out of the ignition until i plugged the battery back in.

I think you should bump a thread, not duplicate it. If it's in the wrong section the Mods will move it to the right place. Once you get responses on both, you make a lot of extra work for the Mods. Just sayin...

but they'll never tell you WHERE it was moved

I've lost a couple of moved threads .. one of which I've never found

I've always found them with either the "My Posts" link or Search-Advanced Search, and search for my own Username.

There have been one or two threads that I've seen disappear, but I think the reason was either because Mods felt it was a duplicate or inappropriate or from Accidental deletion while cleaning up spam. But since they've implemented the 10 post rule they've done one hell of a job keeping it clean around here. Just no need to make them work any harder....

I think it's time you have your dealer look at it.

My 2013 Sonic misbehaved in a similar fashion. Turning off the vehicle and turning it back on later cleared it up. It never reoccurred.

I did have then look at it, they couldnt figure out what was wrong with it. Recommended for me to purchase a new unit which sort of frustrates me due to the pricetag and labor cost. I didnt damage the unit, it's know to be buggy so should i have to oay out of pocket for a bad unit?

You shouldn't have to pay for a new unit. Isn't it covered under the 5 years warranty of a new vehicle? Or is that just a Aussie thing?
