205/55R16 or 225/50R16

I've decided on 16x7.5" Moda MD16s for my '12 LT hatch. They have 40mm offset and 5.79" backspacing. The car won't be lowered. The front airdam already scapes on our lovely PA roads as is. Will 225/50R16s fit without any rubbing or should I play it safe with the 205/55R16s? Thanks.

I'm running 225/45/17 on 17x8's with 40 mm offset. No issues.
