After an extremely intermittent manifestation of a constellation of spooky & involuntary braking malfunctions, we ascribed the symptoms to the only possible culprit; the ABS system. Having discovered zero voltage ⚡️ on the manifold controller, we have purchased a used part on Ebay & am currently waiting on a local shop to program & installation. The strange events began ever-so gently when I noticed the tachometer above 4,000 rpm at a normal city-driving speeds. It would gradually bind up the front disc's to such an extent that I would be forced to pull over to avoid overheating the fire-cracker hot
brake rotors ! After cooling periods it could then be driven for a few minutes before repeating the cycle up to 2 or 3 times. This would occur about once every few months. It then escalated to more acute instances of sudden high-strength firing of emergency stop intensity events. It felt like an impact or malfunction of a momentary or split second application of front calipers. My normal auto repair shop in town was useless & feckless both times I brought it in. They claimed no codes , yet O'Reilly Autoparts found pertinent codes for me. The only parts I changed personally were both front ABS wheel sensors. It was unnecessary, but I was exasperated with the lack of help from my normal shop & thought I would try to do something ! Just for informational purposes I'd like to inform you that the removal of 3 fuses under the hood will disable an insane ABS module so you can get hone !
