Airbag sensors

I recently purchased a 2016 Sonic from a salvage auction.The airbags were blown.I bought a 2015 Sonic parts car with the airbags still intact so I switched all of the bags,the control module,and sensors into the 2016.The airbag light on the dash wouldn't go off so I took the car to my local dealership to reset everything.The tech told me that the control module,the left and right front sensors,the right rear and right rear door sensor all need replaced.I checked Ebay and when I check the ones for a 2015 it says that they aren't compatible for my 2016.Does anyone know if GM changed the sensors for 2016? Any help would be appreciated.Thanks.

I wouldnt go by what some ebay seller says. Check the part numbers.

Dealer is talking ****. You don't need to replace the sensors.

You do however have to clear the crash data from the car so that it disables the light. Some cars this can be done easily by just clearing the fault codes, others you need to recode the air bag module.

Not sure where its located on the Sonic but generally on hatch backs the module is located in the centre console. You'll have to remove it and take it to a proper diagnostician who can clear crash data
