For those not wanting to add a some more info the dash, and already have good placement of a GPS or Smartphone based GPS mount, this could be a good option, and its Bluetooth so you don't need to run any wires.
It plugs into the OBDii port of your vehicle and links to your phone or Garmin GPS and appears to be much like a scan tool when paired with the Garmin Mechanic Ap for Android.
I may pass because I plan to buy HP Tuners for my Firebird...not in the immediate future but down the road.... and I'm sure scanning will be fine on the Sonic...plus its under warrant so off it will go for anything to crazy. This would be a nice device to use however for those wanting a compact scanning option and everything in 1 device.
Also seeing the data and knowing what it means can not only help you at the Service counter from being taken advantage of but also catch small problems before they end up big problems. On another topic, tt would be interesting to know what limits the "warning" lights come on at.
Anyone used it or familiar with it? or use a similar product? The Mechanic App is free and actually does indeed have many functions w/o the Bluetooth dongle.
