broke off spark plug boot

So I was changing my spark plugs, and when i lifted the ignition rail off the top of the engine, i broke one of those rubber boots comming off the rail. It broke right at the rail, plastic rod, rubber, and all. So after i changed the plugs, I put the broken boot back on the new plug, and screwed the rail down to the engine.

It seems like the cylinder is still firing. Should it be fine running like this? or should i replace the rail?

I have a 2013 LTZ 1.4 l turbo,6 spd.

Even thou it just says LT on the back...

It'll most likely misfire on wot. Mine did. A junkyard has the piece for like $70. From Cruze or sonic

Yeah, it's all one piece.

I was checking the gapping on my plugs, but you're literally in my same position. Those things can have some CRAZY suctIon, I tried everything to get it off without breaking.

Sounds like a a common problem. Dealer broke mine but replaced it for free.

yea, I pulled up pretty gently, but the one on the far left broke. maybe if i pulled up both ends at the same time, it would not have broken?

also, the far right boot stayed on the plug, and slid off the plastic rod. I was able to just pry that off the plug, and put it back.

My engine was crazy hot, even after sitting for an hr. Might just be the FL heat, it was like 95 degrees outside.

I doubted myself at first, but no. Before mine broke I did EVERYTHING I read about to loosen it up, I even pulled on it gently for like a half hour.. I think they are just screwed sometimes.
