Checking the intake pcv valve, got a question

Last night I was trying to check out my intake pcv . I pulled the retainer clip and pulled the pipe off. There is a little black plastic ring there. When I went to put it back together, I can't seem to get the pipe seated back on the intake with that ring on the intake or in the pipe. If I take the ring off it seats on and clips fine. Anyone know anything about the ring. It seems like it supposed to be a spacer so it clips really tight.

In any event, pretty sure the valve isn't there anymore. Couldn't see anything orange in there. Cleaning down there didn't seem to change that.

Ok, got it. Thought I was going to snap that thing off. Anyone had any luck getting a dealer to deal with the pcv stuff when it's just some rough idling? The diaphram in the valve cover seems to be good, but there is no sign of the orange valve in the intake.

I’ve done the whole process from The V2 intake mod on cruzeforums to now the racer x intake. Have to say, racer x is gorgeous and well worth it
