Coolant level low

So, 4 weeks ago I started my car so it could warm up for the drive to work. 10 minutes later when I got in to leave it was still cold as if it was just started. 15 miles later it started to warm up so I continued on to work. Lifted the hood at work and noticed the coolant level was a 1/4 from the bottom of the reservoir. Later I added coolant up to the fill line of the reservoir. It's been fine until today! The same thing happened again, only this I noticed the smell of antifreeze. I cannot find any evidence of leaking anywhere under the hood. Has anyone else experienced this happening to their Sonic. And if so, what was done to correct it. I'd really appreciate any advice. Thanks

Yup, just keep it topped up and keep looking for the leak. I had two so far, and both were hard to find. One happened to be at the coolant outlet from the engine block. This was fixed by the dealership as part of the GM warranty.
Then another one equally hard to find that turned out to be a small crack on the surge tank (overflow reservoir) that the techs would swear is not the case because it was too small for their pressure test to detect. Ended up just replacing it myself. Good luck hunting, I would get a really bright led flashlight and open the hood after every car ride, or in the morning after it sat for a while. Make sure you look when it's cold and when it's hot to cover as many conditions as possible
