E15 gas in the Sonic?

So I was at the gas station the other day filling up my Sonic and noticed that Sheetz is now offering E15 gas that is 88 Octane. According to what I have read any FlexFuel or 2007+ vehicle can use it. Has anyone used E15 in their Sonic? Specifically a 1.4T? Also, would it be better or worse than using 87 octane? Is MPG affected? If you are BRN tuned would it produce more, less or equal power vs 87, 89 and 93?

I am just curious and have a lot of questions.

E15 88 octane will be fine to use, and it will give you slightly better knock protection than 87 octane E0-E10. If the cost is significantly less, it’ll save you a few pennies, but it’s probably all going to be awash in the end.

87 octane E0 (ethanol free) will run ~14.7:1 AFR at lambda, and the more common standard E10 87 octane will run ~14.1:1 AFR at lambda, which is your light load/cruise condition. E15 will run ~13.6:1 at lambda. So, if E15 is over 4% cheaper than E10, or over 7% cheaper than E0, you should be saving a little cash. If you don’t mind doing the math before refueling, you may as well pocket some extra change.
