EPA Now Classifies Sonic Hatchback as "Midsize" Car!

I guess the Passenger & Luggage Volume size in the Sonic Hatchback has been updated because now it's classified as a Midsize Car!

The Chevrolet site still says it's a Subcompact… I wonder if that'll now change?

It's clearly a typo. Look at the size chart. Passenger volume is 91 cubic feet which lands it in subcompact.

On the site, at the top of the EPA size class, it says:

CARS
Class Passenger & Cargo Volume (Cu. Ft.)

Subcompact 85 to 99
Compact 100 to 109
Mid-Size 110 to 119

That is why they are saying it is midsize, since the total of the passenger volume and the trunk volume is more then 110 (actually in this case, exactly 110)

I doubt anyone would actually shop this car as a midsize car though, but I wonder if the rental companies are going to pickup on that.
