Error Codes B0083-04 and B0084-04

Hello,

I'm trying to get some help. My airbag light came on and I was able to retrieve the following error codes: B0084-04 Right Impact Sensor and B0083-04 Left Impact Sensor. The vehicle (2015 Chevy Sonic LT - 4D Sedan) was involved in a fender bender but none of the airbags deployed. I am trying to find the location of the impact sensors. Do you think the issue is with the SDM module? I replaced what I believe are the impact sensors but the error codes cannot be cleared.

Are these the impact sensors?

Likely the sensors damaged , wiring or connectors to them damages.

I would take it back to whoever repaired it and state what has happened. IF a connector was cracked. . . weather issues and corrosion to contacts may not have showed up till now.

The sensors should be in front of the radiator area . . . and have Yellow ]connectors going to them.

So, those in the video are not the sensors? There is nothing sensor-like in front of the radiator.

Ditto. You do NOT want the airbags not to work properly in a subsequent accident. If the person that fixed it will not make it right, then go to someone that will and hang the first guy with the bill.

Yea, don't mess with airbags. They should all be covered from Chevy, and if you were in an accident it needs to be reviewed again by the claim adjusted as part of the damage sustained.
