Fender Flares for the Sonic

For those of you who would like to add some custom fender flares to your Sonic, I was browsing through the pages of eBay and came across this...

I also found a set of wide fender flares for the hatch that looked just like this one but I can't find the post again...

I got really exited to find out that now we can buy custom fender flares that are made specifically for the Sonic. So now this look is going to be obtainable... :banana:

These fender flares are a little bit on the expensive side, especially the ones for the sedan but I noticed that the post says that they are made of aluminum, so maybe that's why...

A couple of years ago when I first got the Sonic, I remember that the aftermarket parts were very limited. I just got excited when I saw the option to get these flares for the Sonic. But I have also noticed that aftermarket parts are slowly becoming easier to find...

You're right. I guess that's a good thing for those of us who can not afford to get rid of this car to upgrade to a faster hatch or something more sporty. We can opt for cosmetic and performance upgrades for the Sonic.

TBH the next fastest hatch for the money is a fiesta st but imo it's not worth it, but that's cause it's like $5k more and only 50hp/tq more. Plus the sonic looks better and has more cargo room.

It takes less than 5k to add about 40 to 50 horses to the Sonic and you're right, the Sonic does look better than the Fiesta.

You know, there's a lot of people on this forum that would like to do an engine swap and put a more powerful engine in the Sonic. I don't know if anybody has done it yet, but the question is what engine can swap in to the Sonic without having to do major modifications...

With the current engine, a tune, a CAI and a complete turbo back exhaust can add close to 40 horses. Add a bigger intercooler and we can get closer to adding 50 horses to the 1.4 T. All for less than $4,000.
