Indeed. While I was waiting for my Sonic to be dealer transferred, I happened to score a Rosso Brilliante 500 Sport as a rental car. That thing was an absolute blast to drive, and cornering was just unreal. It was a 6sp auto, and I would just mash the pedal, and bang the manu-matic shifter all day long.
It made a sexy noise, and didn't really go fast, so I managed not to get into trouble with it. It did attract a lot of attention, especially when I would climb out of it(6"3"). I fit perfectly in it, but was kind of weird knowing I could easily touch the back window from the drivers seat.
I felt that another 20hp over the stock 101 would be just about right. That and it's size and price make me happy I chose the Sonic. I was telling people I wanted one since they were announced. If I ever sold the Sonic, I would seriously look at an Abarth, that thing would freaking scream. I can rest at night knowing I can't afford one, and technically, can't buy one now anyway.
