Hella Tones Dual Horn Install w/Pics

I tried looking for a good tutorial for this and couldn't find one. Hopefully this helps those that are considering. Doing it this way leaves the horns visible through the lower grill and separates them enough to account for a license plate if needed.

It's just in front of on the support brace. Still inches of clearance. From an airflow standpoint, possibly, but unless you hide completely you choose between intercooler or radiator.

Do you have a pic of the front with bumper on? I want to see how it looks, if I do this it will have to be red ones though

I haven't taken that pic, with my grill you can't see much, but just imagine one on each side of the plate that's how it looks.

Mine were red but I painted.

Nice job on the write up Hulty! I went with the PIAA 330/400hz set and used the same mounting bracket and location. Bought two pair but didn't install second set. Wanted to put one set on each side. The having to use a relay thing was throwing me off. Plus I heard some people say it affected the "chirp" when you set the alarm. Yours look nice and you did a great write up for others. Hats off to you sir.

Thanks brother, I appreciate it. The relay threw me too, wiring is NOT my specialty. That's why I did the write up, if done this way you'll succeed every time and no need to fear the relay. The chirp when arming is a very low powered, low tone, chirp but it's sufficient and it's all worth it because that mother is LOUD when used. It's probably worthy of being a sticky but it's not my call.

My only concern is these types of horns can require some maintenance. They can be disassembled and cleaned to make the horn note more robust. Seems rust and dirt over time can make them sound feeble and warbly.

Can you access them without removing the bumper?

No, but can you do anything hardly on this ride without taking off the front? Mount them in the wheel well where the factory was if that's a concern, but the wiring is still the same.

yeah, I put my sickspeeds behind the front wheelwell liners.. both sides. Put my relay in the engine bay (and caused a fire )
