Help with 230/40/18 Fitment...

I have a set of 18" x 8" wheels with a 35mm offset. I want to run the widest tire I can without a rubbing issue. My RS has the GM suspension kit, so it's only 10mm lower than a stock RS. Any reason I can't run a 235/40/18 tire?

I did some searches on the site, but I couldn't find a definitive answer. Any help would be um... helpful.

I don't see why you couldn't run that tire. You've got 5mm more room than Zach Tullier's flush et30 rims, for fender clearance, which you wider tire will probably use up. However, since you only have a 10mm drop and aren't slammed on BC coilovers, it shouldn't be a problem.

Suspension should be perfectly clear, and fenders should be fine so long as you don't go offroading or use spacers.

Sounds good. Besides width, I am just trying to maintain a certain sidewall to wheel diameter ratio. That way the tires don't look like rubber bands on the wheels. This is even more important since I still have some fender gap due to the GM springs.
