Hello Sonic World! Just wanted to let you guys know we support your community and the full GM line up. A little history about us. We are partners with EDS Motorsport (Germany) Our engineering staff has worked in the ECU software industry for over 30 years. 20 of those years were developing software for the manufacturer directly before launching IPF in 2003 and going to market in 2007. We have currently have tuned over 27,000 vehicles globally. We have the #1 selling GM software in many global markets including China, Europe and much of the middle east and Russia. Smaller displacement forced induction engines are our specialty and direct injection platforms.

IPF Tuning is also a hardware manufacturer. We offer down pipes, inter-coolers and tuning solutions for both petrol and diesel applications. We are currently in R&D for an intake for the 1.4T as well.

We look forward to supporting the Sonic and Cruze community and help you get the best driving experience from your vehicles.

Are you an American company?

Our founding roots and some of our engineering staff are in Germany, however IPF Tuning North America is located in Phoenix, Arizona and has offices in Scottsdale, AZ and Steamboat Springs, CO. And two of the three partners are US based. So yes we are a US company. We have manufacturing and R&D facilities in Phoenix and Tempe, AZ as well.

IPF Tuning Worldwide has Global Development centers in Shanghai, Beijing, Mongolia, Russia, Germany and the UK. We support the full line of GM products globally and a fair amount of our overseas development comes from the Opel and Vauxhall line up.

We are part of the domestic economy and are good old fashioned tax paying Americans. IPF Tuning North America is a separate company than our global partners, we share R&D info and use this information to provide a superior product. You know much of the GM development comes from the Opel brand overseas. This is where many of these smaller displacement engines and vehicles were first developed before ever seeing US soil. Many are re-badged versions for the domestic market.

Yes we do also tune the 1.8L We support all GM vehicles from 2007+ I have not actually looked into other tuners results on the 1.8L so I cant say how we compare, but across the board we have had a very positive response in many markets. I will look for a dyno sheet.

The only thing I can say is we use our own proprietary methods are are different than anyone else.
