LF upper strut bars

Are there any out yet for our sonics? I had upper front and back and lower rear for my prelude and loved the ride...was hoping to find something for the sonic I just bought...I did a search on here to see if any one installed one yet and it came back empty....

The Sonic doesn't have traditional strut towers in the front. The front struts mount to a part of the unibody just below the windshield that stretches to both sides. It's almost like a built in strut brace. There might be room there for adding something to reinforce it but I have no idea if it'll be worth the effort.

A rear brace should be possible if you don't mind it being in the way.

I really don't think it's necessary, but that's just me. you could fab one up and it would be fairly simple.

I agree the front shock towers appear very well boxed in and well triangulated, more so than most macphearson strut cars, I see no gain in fabricating one up for the sonic.

i should of looked more into the car before posting up non sense . kinda sucks in a way i guess.... saw some talk about a lower rear sway bar... not sure about that if you cant utilize any other structural securities of the corners. Sorry for my newbness, been an import guy for years and still super new with this car and still trying to understand the best approaches to what i can and cant get done with suspension work.

The rear sway bar is likely going to more or less reinforce the existing torsion beam axle to control sway

I was more or less grilling myself, Im usually the guy yelling at people for "did you google it!". I just am having the new car excitement right now ;-p Laugh at me if you will, but I haven't even popped the hood yet. Spent a million hours at the stealership, then had to drive 3 hours. It was Late, then drove it another 6 hours to get home and parked it 2 days now. I leave for work when its dark and get home when its dark, so hoping this weekend to dig into it and check things out...really hoping to go get my tint job done on sat.

Maybe that sway bar wont be as bad as i thought..Every little bit helps in some way
