Good day Sonic folks,
I've been slowly doing mods and fixes to the Real-Slow that I own, and of course I go to ZZP for a lot of stuff, and haven't ever had issues.
I Recently decided to do the Big 4 Wire kit they offer to my 2019 Sonic RS. The only other mod I've done that ties to the wires and battery in any meaningful sense is the ZZP coil pack and new plugs.
For background, I still had my OEM battery from purchase in fall 2019 in the car. Obviously getting old for an OEM, so that's understood going in.
I did the swap Sunday, then noticed immediately that I got the Low Battery! warning. Kept getting it, then got the splash warning when I open doors and get in with the fob, but no real noticeable difference in power.
To avoid what I thought might be a dying OEM battery, I just went and got a new one and installed it Monday night, then drove the car yesterday and today.
I'm still getting the Low Battery! with the new one installed, and I'm slightly concerned that this is going to ruin a new battery or burn out something.
As a note, my ignition time is almost instantaneous, and I'm sure that's an improvement, but I can't give anything other than that subjective claim.
I appreciate the insight, everyone.
Thanks,
JOSH
