Lowered (by springs) alignment ?'s

Guys, I put the B&G springs on a couple of weeks ago. I notice my camber is out a little..Since I'm on new wheels & tires I want to make them last.

The alignment guy at my family tire shop had some questions the machine asked about.

ECO or non-ECO.. I said non ECO (like Cruze ECO?)
FE1 or FE4 (I've got a 2013 LTZ hatch)

Of course, no camber adjustment per se.. he did mention bolts for the strut with a cam in them. I'm still in the green for camber, but towards the outer edges of it

I saw the thread on this already...but it's from 2012 and not specific to lowered cars.

You guys who are lowered... have you bought new bolts?

Any ideas?

Put it this way....I have coils and my car is slammed. I later got in an accident and the shop told me afterwards when they went to do the alignment it was dead on still. So I doubt you need one because I didn't even need one after being slammed on coils.

I never got one with springs when I had springs. My tire wear is fine and my camber is a bit off too

As far as the adjustment bolts I have no clue

I know...I track dead on..., it's appears to be about 5 degrees tilted inward...very slight.

Just curious if anyone used those bolts....

Wasn't a waste of money getting the car checked...the caster was off on one wheel...

oh and the clearance between the top of my tire and the strut is about 5-7mm...tight, even with a 5mm spacer.

Car quest auto parts can get a camber bolt u pop it in the top hole were the steering knuckle meets the strut then u can set your camber. I have a part number at home I will try to let you know when I get home at 6:30-7 pm. My camber was out almost 1 degree but my toe was effected more

I have cam Bolts. Eibach offers them with their spring kit for the sonic. I took mine to my dealer and they took care of me. They only used one though, to get the left side to match the right. There was a little more negative camber over stock but it is within spec. Caster and toe were both off and they got them both back in spec. Rear was pretty much perfect.

The front might appear to have more camber due to how our fenders flare at the top. Its an optical illusion.

I'm still in the green according to the machine... I did the springs myself, and getting that top bolt off wasn't too bad...I'd have to undo the top strut nut to allow for the movement...

yeah, I'll take that part number... can't hurt to have it on file

When replacing the camber bolt shouldn't have to take the top strut nut loose to replace the camber bolt

I just had my toe put back in. Never messed with the camber and I don't see any abnormal tire wear.

That's what I thought.. Probably should go get mine checked since I had the cradle dropped.

I had my toe reset because the car would wander around with the grooves in the highway with my wide tires.

Eibach springs, no bolts
Toe was out -.35, now in +.10
Camber is -1.4/-1.5
Caster is 5.0/4.5

I got mine checked after a year and 40k miles and everything was d@mn near dead nuts centered.

I also centered the top hats as best I could when reinstalling. They're somewhat self centering but there is a more than trivial amount of wiggle room there.

I saw this, but if I'm looking at the drawing right, all that bolt does is give you 2mm of wiggle room. It's not splined so it can move around the bolt holes a little...

That doesn't make sense....

I see this one too, but it says it doesn't fit a Sonic and I've no idea what the heck this does...

I'm just not seeing it right I suppose.

It's not made for the sonic but works well. I have ran my camber bolts for 10k miles so far

the bolt has that smooth part, what's that weird washer?

The L shape in the bolt hole of the washer fits in the outside of the strut to help fill up the space
