Microphone picks up a lot of wind noise

The microphone in my wife's 2013 Sonic picks up a lot of wind noise at highway speeds. Her commute is in an 80mph zone, and it sounds like she's driving with all the windows down to the person on the other end. We've tried it with multiple phones, and had the folks at the dealership look at it. It sounds alright at lower speeds, but at 60+ it becomes mostly unusable.

Anyone look into sound insulation or other fixes for the wind noise?

People complain about mine too. I have to have my headliner removed for some PDR work next month, so I will be installing some kind of sound deadening material at that time. I can't imagine it will hurt. I'll let you know if it makes any improvement.

Also, you could try taping over the door seam and going for a ride, see if that's it.. (someone would apply painters tape to the seams while you're in it, then you drive )

Possibly a air gap in the door area...or rear hatch...

I can't imagine the noise is coming from the rear, or the doors, as the inside of the car is super quiet to passengers. That's what makes it most odd - super quiet to passengers, sounds like all the windows are down to the person on the other end of the call. Nothing but wind noise. It's fine at lower speeds, but it's pretty hard to understand at 60mph, almost completely unusable at 80.
