Rear emblem?

Does anyone know for sure if the rear emblem in just double side taped on or does it have prongs into the hatch

Ferdie I assume that you have removed the emblem/bowtie? How did you remove it?

The rear emblem is held on with double sided tape or whatever it is. When you remove it, there are two alignment holes, right through paint, metal, everything.

From what I remember someone posting, the front emblem is part of the grille and isn't easily removeable. I hope whoever posted about it chimes in. I forget who it was.

I had my front bumper completely disassemble in the shop. And they also took off the emblem, which indeed, has doubled sided tape. Just like the rear bumper. The front one is almost impossible to get off, so be careful!

It 2 sided rubber tape sticks hard as hell . But 20# fish line and some soapy water it will come right off . Now the pin parts are a lot harder to do some have holders on the inside of the body .

Take a piece of fishing line "about a foot" dip it in soapy water slide it behind the emblem and saw up and down well pulling it forward under the emblem . As long as there is no pins it will come right off easy peasey .

Ya I took mine off all the war. Front one has double tape and two screws.

I don't remember any discussion about the front emblem aside from applying vinyl over the gold.

I don't think anyones posted up a debaged front yet, and that one even I want to keep... just want to black it out in spring. Its too bad they got away from how the Cobalt held its front bowtie on. Just 2 small nuts and it was off for easy painting/whatever in the house.

bringing back a dead thread. I just bought a Holden Barina rear emblem...Think I'll swap them out

sure will... I think if I do it slowly, I can salvage the OEM emblem should I want to put it back on. The holes align from the pic above and what was on ebay.
can't do the front though as it's a different grill/bumper setup

Does the Holden badge have alignment pins? Would be a pain to get it exactly right if it didn't.

It has 2 pins which are vertical. They seem to align exactly with the US version
