Hello all,
Ok so, couple things. First, my wife has 2012 ltz turbo sonic auto and it’s been nothing but issues since we bought it new off the lot in oct 2012. Although I will say it’s toughedbit out and has survived thus far but I feel like that is going to end quickly with these issues I keep having but fingers crossed it lasts. We had zero help with the dealerships with problems that we still have like the one I’m about to mention. So I got the tires replaced a few months ago at a tire center and they came back with saying I had a rear main seal leak. Now I have about zero knowledge about rear main seals but from what I gather from the inter webs is that it has to do with oil and the crankshaft. Now, I’m a little confused and kind of questioning that because I’ve never had oil loss BUT I have had transmission fluid loss slowly and the transmission also kicks every so often or when we’ve been driving awhile and I also had to add a quart and a half of trans fluid when I discovered it starting to get jumpy more often about a year ago. Also my warranty is now 8,000 miles expired and I did bring this in to have it looked at with no luck as per usual from the dealership. Then we moved States and the only dealership here that honors the fidelity warranty (mind boggling) and no luck there with them either. Mind you the first dealership in the other state also said we didn’t have a coolant leak and then my car was on the recall list for the water pump malfunctions and wouldn’t ya know it they finally admitted there was a leak at the water pump when we brought it in to get replaced hmm. So with no help from the dealers and now that my warranty is expired and I’m screwed what do you guys think? Do you think rear main seal or trans problem? Apologies for the long post as I have allot of built up aggression toward chevy dealerships especially since we brought it in multiple times for the same issues with no resolve when the warranty was still good. Cheers
