Replacing fog lights?

So, today I saw this... slightly unfair video from Carthrottle:

It's a pretty cool race, I'll give them that. I think the Sonic looks pretty ***y, and I was wondering.. does any place sell foglight replacements like those? I would replace my fogs in a second for that.

Those aren't fog lights those are ducting for intake and brake cooling as far as I remember and they are custom one off pieces.

Some of the guys have removed fog lights and piped cold air into the intake from passenger side and MPFAB made something similar but still all custom parts not for sale.

Those aren't fog lights, they're NACA ducts... custom fab... must have either a two channel CAI system, or it's all for show....

I've never understood the benefit of a cold air intake system on a turbo engine; as long as there is no restrictions in induction system. My reasoning for this is that the air goes through the compressor side of the turbo, gets heated, and then has to go through the inter-cooler to cool the intake charge air anyway. The MAF measures airflow, not density, so what am I missing? On a normally aspirated engine; I can see a benefit to having a CAI system.

It's basic thermo. If you start with colder air going into the intake, the air coming out of the turbo (after the heating you mention) will be colder. It will go through the intercooler and cool down more and the end result is you'll have colder air after the intercooler than without the CAI. Colder air will have more O2 per volume than warmer air at the same pressure.

There has to be some measurement of air density in there (might be off boost pressure/air temp) because your car has to maintain the correct AFR. To maintain correct AFR, more fuel will be added to engine because of more O2 in the colder air. More fuel + more O2 = more power.
