Side View Mirror Controls

I guess maybe I posted this in the wrong forum earlier.....Lets try here....opcorn:

My side view mirror control is.....well.....broken. The knob clicks to the right and left mirror, but something fell off inside the door. I am not sure what it is but I cannot adjust my mirrors anymore. The knob is loose and rocks in all directions but is still in place.

Anyone know how to fix this? My passenger side mirror took a hit from a large rock on the highway, and broke., It has been taped for a year now. I know they are about $40-50 on Rock Auto, but I cannot see how to remove the inside panels. GM did a GRRREAT job making things difficult. Like sealing the transmission and power steering...

Are you looking to replace the knob/control in the left side armrest or the mirror glass itself?

If you want to access the mirror controls, you should be able to remove the screws below the interior pull handle and the panel that holds the window switch and mirror controls should release from the door. Should be good to go from there.
