Sub help

I'm looking to put a 10" sub in my sedans trunk but still need to save as much space back there as possible. Short of taking out the spare tire, dose anyone have any ideas as to where I could put it or mount it?
Please post pics of your sub if you have them, I like visuals.

Thanks for the suggestions. I can't find any of those cobalt enclosures anywhere, but I'm going to keep looking for a bit. If I still can't find one after a while, then I'll most likely go with the shallow sub option.

I am new to this site (but definitely not new to forums like this). I just bought the 2012 LTZ Turbo HB and would like to put in a subwoofer. In the reading I have done to this point through all of the postings, my understanding is there is not subwoofer outputs and the stereos are not very powerful. I really like the stereo and do not want to swap it out. Is there a way to have the sub installed? Will I be able to install an AMP if I need to using the factory deck? Thanks for your help and am glad to be here.

You can use the factory head unit but you will need to get a line output converter. Prices range from cheap Walmart quality of about 20 dollars to around 300 dollars. Depends on what you want out of it. This also requires you to tap into the rear speaker wires to get signal to the LOC. Your RCA plug into This and go to the amp. Power and ground are run the same

This is what I was gonna say. put it between the wheel well and the trunk lid, in that little recessed area.
people wont even see it, plus you cant really use that space for a while lot anyway.
my buddy's G5 has it there and he didnt even know he had one until he turned the bass up
