Traction control/engine light on p0700

Came on today.
Idling fine wouldnt let me put it in reverse or anything all it did was rev and wouldnt move. 2012 Sonic 1.8L 118000km
Any ideas would be great to know. Ugh. After turning it on and off a few times it finally went into reverse and now just the engine light is on.

700 is a comms failure or internal failure of the TCM, and the code you have from the fuel pump controller is probably for the missing message from the trans computer, along with the U1000 network code. I'd suspect you just have a faulty trans computer, but the diagnostics i'm sure involve checking the wiring and network signal first to determine.
