I'm gunna use the stock wipers till they die out but when I need to replace them I'm gunna buy RainX Latitudes. Had them on my Celica. Bought them 2 years ago and they still wipe like they are brand new. They run about $20 a blade
Combine them with the orange RainX washer fluid for the best combo. The washer fluid is 3 times the price of the cheap stuff but that is still like $2.50-$3 for a gallon.

I used the same setup on all my cars! Hardly ever use the wipers, just pick up a pair of POLARIZED brown sunglasses. Just go to Bass Pro and pick up a cheep 9.99 pair. The lighter the tint the better, it is the polarization that you really want, it takes the white out of the rain drops on the windshield and I see better than with the wipers on.
I have always used the Rain X treatment, blades and solution. One problem is I no longer need the blades! Almost never run the wipers. More rain the better and best at night! Snow, rain, salt spray or mud very little sticks to the glass.
Hmmm...the rain-x comments are interesting. I've personally had bad luck with the latttidudes being too stiff and their adapters binding a little bit. Consistently got a huge streak right down the middle from lack of proper pressure. I replaced them with trico neoforms on my jeep and really love them (and they're less expensive). Is there anything newer on the market than the neoforms and latitudes that I should look at? Otherwise I'll probably end up sticking with the neoforms on this vehicle when I need them.
I ran the RainX latitudes on my Cavalier for a while and thought they were garbage. Thought I was splurging but replaced them within a few months because they made it harder to see.
Since then, I use the VERY cheap ones from NAPA and haven't had any troubles. Depending on how the OEs hold up on the Sonic, I may just replace them with the same ones.
Its tough to find a good wiper that can hold up to MN winters. One time I turned my wipers on in winter and the rubber stuck to the glass and ripped off. Didn't work too well after that!
Here in Illinois in the winter I never had to brush snow off the windshield or back window in the Celica thanks to the latitudes. And even if there was frost, I would just use the wiper fluid since they sell the deicer version in the winter.
i say keep it cheap like the ones at costco goodyear $8 a piece. they work pretty well and they last well over a year before i have to replace them since i do use them a lot being in alaska and all. i've used them on my 2006 cobalt and 2009 liberty and haven't had any issues and for the price it couldn't be beat.
I'm actually having some trouble finding blades for my LTZ hatch. The I&L attachment seems pretty rare, and I can't find 15" blades anywhere. Any help?
Your local Pepboys should have them, my store does. You will find them in the store brand, Proline. I believe they are produced by Valeo. It's the only brand, that we offer, that makes a 15" I&L blade.
Haven't had to change them yet, but haven't had any complaints about the brand either, unlike the general disgust for the Rain-X blades.
